This Privacy Policy explains how VannÇa ("we", "us", "our"), operated by VANNCA MARKET PLACE LTD (Mauritius), collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the VannÇa mobile application (the "App"), a local marketplace for buying, selling, and renting in Mauritius.

By using VannÇa you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information we collect

🔒 Your verification selfie is private. It is stored securely and is only accessible to the VannÇa team for verification. It is never shown publicly and is not shared with other users.

2. Permissions we use

Camera — to take listing photos and your private verification selfie.
Photos / media — to let you choose listing images from your gallery.
Calendar — only if you choose to save a confirmed meetup to your calendar.
Notifications — to alert you about messages, offers, and account updates.

VannÇa does not collect your precise (GPS) location. Your area is the district you select yourself.

3. How we use your information

To operate the marketplace — publish listings, enable chat, and process offers.
To verify sellers and reduce fraud and abuse.
To send you relevant notifications about your activity.
To maintain security, prevent misuse, and comply with the law.
To improve the App's performance and features.

4. What other users can see

Other users can see your public seller name, district, listings, ratings/reviews, and any messages you send them. Your email, verification selfie, and sign-in details are never shown to other users.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

Service providers that power the App — Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, analytics, notifications) and Expo (push notification delivery). These providers process data on our behalf.
Other users, limited to the public information described in Section 4.
Authorities, where required by law or to protect users' safety.

6. Data retention & deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from within the App (Profile → account settings), or by emailing us. On deletion, your personal data and listings are removed, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, access controls, and a private, admin-only store for verification selfies) to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

8. Children

VannÇa is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

9. Your rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal information, and withdraw consent, by using in-app settings or contacting us. We will respond in line with applicable Mauritian data protection law.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notified in the App.
